The Legal & Compliance department in Novo Nordisk Malaysia plays a critical role in ensuring ethical business practices, compliance with regulations, and high-quality operations. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in managing legal affairs, business ethics compliance, and quality standards for the affiliate. - This role reports to the General Manager, Malaysia. **The position** As the Legal, Compliance & Quality Director, you will lead a team and drive the legal strategies for all legal, compliance, and quality areas at Novo Nordisk Malaysia. - You will ensure local alignment with global frameworks, manage business risk, and drive adherence to internal and external regulations across Malaysia. This role requires a proactive, collaborative leader who can implement effective strategies and foster a strong culture of compliance and quality. - Key Responsibilities: - Legal Affairs Management: Lead legal operations, including drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on regulatory matters, and ensuring compliance with local and global laws. - Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, compliance, and quality risks by implementing effective action plans. - Business Ethics and Compliance: Oversee the implementation of global and local business ethics programs, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as FCPA and UK Anti-bribery Act. - Quality Management: Lead affiliate quality functions to ensure compliance with internal and external standards, including managing audits and corrective actions. - Collaboration and Training: Work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and authorities while driving training, awareness, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support compliance excellence. **Qualifications** - Law Degree from a top-ranked institution; a Ph.D. in Law or LL.M. is advantageous. - Minimum of 6+ years in legal roles, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical device industry. Experience in a tier-one law firm is preferred. - Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FCPA, UK Anti-bribery Act). - Proven leadership capabilities and expertise in risk management. - Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills. **Working at Novo Nordisk** At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change.
