Role Overview

This role supports the organization in operating within applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will assist in managing legal matters, implementing compliance programs, and providing guidance to teams on legal and compliance issues. The position offers exposure to regulatory work and opportunities to grow into broader responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Risk Management & Advisory

  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and vetting contracts and legal documents.
  • Support management in identifying and mitigating legal risks.
  • Conduct legal research on industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare reports on compliance incidents and investigations.
  • Coordinate with external counsel on litigation and dispute resolution matters.

2. Regulatory & Stakeholder Support

  • Support submissions to regulatory agencies and ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Assist in liaising with government agencies, local authorities, and trade associations.
  • Help manage certifications and industry standards.
  • Provide support in addressing customer inquiries on compliance matters.

3. Compliance Program & Culture

  • Assist in drafting policies and procedures for employees.
  • Support investigations into compliance issues and help implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance registers and filing systems.
  • Help deliver training sessions to promote integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement compliance policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • LLB (Hons) from a recognized law school.
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in legal or compliance roles.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Ability to present complex legal information in a clear and practical way.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
