Legal Job Scope:

  • Leadership role in overseeing the Group legal functions including providing advisory and guidance to the Group Chief Executive Officer, board of directors and senior management.
  • Lead and supervise legal advice, support and guidance to the Group which include but are not limited to general legal advice, contract negotiations, legal strategies for litigation and other legal activities.
  • Oversee and lead the Legal Division of the Group.
  • Supervise in creation and implement all legal policies, and procedures as relevant and required by the Group.
  • Head and manage the legal responsibilities.
  • To investigate possible breaches and non-compliance under all applicable laws and regulations; and offer solutions to mitigate them.
  • Lead, Supervise and coordinate with external legal advisors in drafting and vetting any documents and contracts in connection with corporate/ restructuring exercises.
  • Oversight and advise on potential legal issues and finalise agreements after discussion and negotiation both with management and any external parties including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Advise on overall potential legal issues, drafts, and review agreements from the internal stakeholders such as from Divisions/Departments when needed.
  • Advise on Legal issues arising from management on any projects, agreements, and disputes.
  • Lead, Supervise and coordinate with external lawyers on the preparation of court processes.
  • Act as liaison Lead for the Group in all litigation matters.
  • Lead and participate in the discussions with the internal division/departments on formulation of strategies to resolve, damage control on ongoing litigation/ tribunal with preventative measures for the Group.
  • Oversight on all corporate exercises and transactions including mergers and acquisitions.

Compliance Job Scope:

  • Leadership role in overseeing the Group's compliance functions including providing advisory and guidance to the Group Chief Executive Officer, board of directors and senior management.
  • Supervise monitor compliance in all aspects and levels of business.
  • Oversee and lead the Legal and Compliance Division of the Group.
  • Interpret statutory and regulatory requirements and establish compliance frameworks for implementation.
  • Overseeing and ensure up-to-date Compliance policies in line with local legislation, regulatory requirements
