Production Manager

As Production Manager, you will maintain a safe work environment for all production employees, while ensuring delivery of quality product to all customers using optimized processes, allowing for a continuous flow of material throughout the organization. Lead and manage Operational Excellence projects e.g., value creation activities with the goal of delivering strategic improvements linked to business objectives. This role will advance the streamlining of procedures/processes so that the manufacturing site can operate more efficiently, support to implement Lean Manufacturing principles, systems and tools and related programs. The role provides leadership to the production team comprising supervisors, technicians, and operators. - Be part of the Sales & Operations Planning process, in planning for the availability of production capacity and schedules and driving production build plans. - Motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators to meet production build targets whilst ensuring highest workmanship and quality. - Create & execute strategies for training and development of the production team. - Motivate the productive team towards business objectives whilst constantly taking care of their well-being and maintaining team cohesiveness. - Lead/collaborate with other close functions, e.g., manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, quality, procurement, planning to achieve business objectives. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Principles, Kaizen, Demand Flow Technology, Digital solutions. - Ensure all operations are meeting the ISO, documentation and all regulatory requirements without non-compliance issue. - Be the custodian of the manufacturing area and ensure it is well maintained and organized with 5S Principles. - Work with NPI and new product transfer team to meet production ramp up plan - Ensure well maintained PM/Calibration/ESD compliance. - Ensure well being of business assets and inventory as to meet compliance need. - Other activities deemed necessary. Watch the video" - Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience as a manager, supervisor and/or individual contributor. - Discrete manufacturing experience - manufacturing of finished products that are distinct items. - Preferably with more complex finished products (systems), e.g., High mix low volume. - Managing of DL / production workforce; may be operators or technicians and supervisors. - Ability to multitask, prioritize and respond to varied and changing demands focusing on continuous improvement for customer needs. - Requires strong passion in people, to lead and influence for positive change to deliver consistent business result. - Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for working across departments, clearly and concisely deliver instructions to the production team. Must also be able to deal with team-management issues quickly and effectively. - Strong analytical skills along with solid understanding of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, able to spot problems within the manufacturing process quickly and take appropriate action to rectify. - Decision making abilities to make decisions quickly, under pressure, after careful assessment of all available information. - 8+ years' experience in manufacturing experience and minimum 2 years’ management experience leading a team in a dynamic and progressive environment. - SAP and MES knowledge is an added advantage Agilent Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
