Job Description: Branch Clerk Position Overview: The Branch Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the efficient functioning of the company's branch operations. They are responsible for performing various administrative and clerical tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the branch, accurate record-keeping, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner. Provide information about products, services, and branch procedures. Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning. Maintain and update customer and product databases accurately. Prepare and process documents, including invoices, receipts, and memos. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, customer interactions, and inventory. Assist in reconciling financial transactions and handling cash and credit card payments. Compile reports as required by branch management or head office. Communication: Coordinate with other branches or departments to fulfill customer requests. Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors. Relay relevant information to customers regarding order status, delivery dates, and product availability. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and company information. Assist in maintaining documentation related to regulatory compliance. Support to Branch Management: Provide support to branch managers and supervisors as needed. Assist in organizing meetings, preparing materials, and taking minutes. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve minor issues that arise in day-to-day operations. Escalate complex or critical issues to the appropriate personnel.
