Job Description: Accounting Associate

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our dynamic finance team. As an Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, supporting the financial reporting and analysis needs of our growing business consulting practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial records, including journal entries, invoices, and reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring proper documentation and timely payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash management records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and update the general ledger.
- Assist with the preparation for audits and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations in Malaysia.
- Collaborate with other team members to support overall finance department goals.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a service-based industry. Fresh graduates with strong academic records and relevant internships are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and regulations is an advantage.
