Setting up and taking down lab equipment as specified by teachers of the Science Department. Assist teachers in conducting experiment, if and when instructed. Assist students in carrying out experiments, if and when necessary, under the guidance of the teacher. Preparing of laboratory materials required by teachers. Maintaining general tidiness and organization of the laboratories at the end of each workday Labeling, organizing and storing of chemical and materials with awareness of safety issues, and inventoried periodically. Mixing of chemicals required for experiments. Storage and disposal of chemical, chemical compounds and waste materials in safe manner. Cleaning and storing of glassware. Ensure all laboratory equipment are in good working condition, clean, store in a safe manner and inventoried periodically. Maintaining of aquaria/live specimens. Inventory of science textbook/workbooks, videos, lab kits, science equipment. Purchasing of materials for experiments not available from the school’s supplier, as and when requested by teachers. Responsible for preparing the orders for chemicals in consultation with the teachers, and submitting orders to the Purchasing Department. Responsible for checking the orders upon delivery to ensure orders are complete and in good condition. Filling and organizing resource materials. Organizing of audiovisual materials and software.
