Data Analyst

**Key Responsibilities**

**Data Collection and Management**
- Collect, organize, and maintain data from various university departments, including academic records, student enrollment, faculty performance, and administrative operations.
- Implement data management practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**
- Perform in-depth analysis of academic and administrative data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders across the Managing Director's Office.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student success, program efficiency, and resource utilization.

**Strategic Support and Planning**
- Collaborate with university leaders to provide data-driven recommendations that support strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and university initiatives, suggesting adjustments to optimize outcomes.

**Operational Support**
- Provide data insights to improve the quality of academic programs, student services, and faculty performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within academic and administrative functions based on data insights.

**Compliance and Standards**
- Ensure that all data analytics processes comply with Malaysian higher education standards, regulatory requirements, and university policies.
- Work with the faculties/ Departments/HR to support accreditation and quality assurance initiatives by providing relevant data and insights.

**Collaboration and Training**
- Work closely with IT teams to optimize data systems and infrastructure.
- Educate and train staff in the Managing Director's and Academic Vertical Offices on interpreting data analytics reports to enhance informed decision-making.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Marketing (with a focus on analytics) or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in data analytics is an advantage.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an educational or academic setting.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Strong command of SQL and experience with data management and reporting. Experience working with Marketing related platforms such as Mailchimp and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
- **Communication**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
- **Problem Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiarity with the Malaysian higher education landscape and regulatory standards.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams within an academic environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic educational setting.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
