The DevOps Manager is an important role and reports to the Director of Product Development. DevOps is that it is a process that unifies the roles of software Development and IT Operations. These are not separate, but interdependent entities that come together to put software into production which has the shortest time to market, least amount of errors, and least expensive cost. It is important that the DevOps manager have both CXS culture fit and technical skills to fit the CXS Development Process. The DevOps Manager will coordinate the efforts of product development teams with that of operations teams. As a DevOps manager, you will be heavily involved in both the worlds of development and operations. This could include participating in product brainstorming meetings, helping to manage software releases, and overseeing cloud infrastructure. On the operations end, you may work to set up the process by which the product will be produced and maintained on a larger scale and figure out how it will be distributed to consumers and customers. Responsibilities include: 1. Planning & Strategy - Working with the Product Development Director and Product Architect to define, develop, rollout, and maintain the CXS Suite of Products and platforms - Creating executive presentations and be able to convey story and messages clearly and concisely. - Be able to perform research and provide read outs to teams on such tools and technologies. 2. Cloud/Platform Infrastructure - Work together with the Product Architect to define the cloud/server infra needs for CXS Platforms - Define security and access policies to product-related infra - Define and manage backup and recovery process of product related infrastructure - Oversee the operations of the cloud servers - Oversee the periodic network testing such as penetration tests etc 3. Operations -Support product releases, launches, or roll-outs in terms of infra and ops man-power requirements - Define policies for technical support of CXS products and platforms - Manage the technical support team - Tracking issues and reporting/escalating statuses - Works together with marketing/BD/Project team in order to ensure smooth operations of CXS products and platforms Job requirement - Extensive technical background - Project Management Skills and highly organized - Network Mgmt skills - Knowledge of DevOps tools - Proven knowledge of cloud technologies - Alibaba and Microsoft Azure - Communication skills - Leadership skills - Understanding of business domain/industry
