**We're Hiring: Freelance Textile Designer**

We are on the lookout for a **skilled and imaginative freelance têxtile designer** to create exclusive, culturally-inspired prints for our **modest fashion collections**. Our designs marry heritage and modernity, and we seek a collaborator who can bring that vision to life through **sophisticated, production-ready têxtile artwork**.

**Scope of Work**:
You will lead the development of custom têxtile prints across key product categories:

- **Tudung (Selendang)**
- **Kurung**
- **Jacquard and custom-woven fabrics**

Your key responsibilities include:

- Designing **original, high-quality patterns and motifs**
- Preparing **print-ready artwork with color separations** suitable for digital or screen printing
- Creating **repeat patterns**, placement prints, and engineered layouts
- Providing **technical guidance on scale, color usage, and fabric behavior**
- Collaborating with the fashion design team to ensure print designs **align with garment silhouettes and seasonal stories**

**Requirements**:

- **2-4 years experience** in têxtile or print design
- Proficiency in design software such as **Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate**
- Strong understanding of **color theory, pattern scaling, and têxtile construction**
- Experience with **repeat and seamless pattern creation**
- Knowledge of **printing techniques** (digital, screen, rotary) and their constraints
- Ability to **translate trends into meaningful, culturally resonant motifs**
- Familiarity with **modest fashion aesthetics** is a plus

**Deliverables**:

- Seasonal **moodboards and concept direction**
- Custom **digital print files** with clear specifications for manufacturers
- **Colorways and alternate versions** for different fabric types or product variations
- **Technical layouts** showing placement and fabric coverage
- (Optional) Fabric sourcing suggestions and material compatibility notes

**Collaboration Details**:

- **Project scope**: 3-4 exclusive designs per project
- **Engagement**: Freelance, with flexible and remote collaboration
- **Compensation**: Based on experience and project scope
- **Reference Aesthetic**: Modest elegance with **simplicity, femininity, vibrant tones, and timeless appeal**
