**Job Summary**
The Pastry Chef is responsible for leading the pastry and dessert operations in the hotel’s kitchen, creating high-quality baked goods, confections, and desserts that meet the hotel’s standards of excellence. This role involves developing innovative pastry menus, overseeing production, ensuring consistent quality, managing inventory, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards. The Pastry Chef works closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to design offerings for restaurants, banquets, and special events, contributing to guest satisfaction and the hotel’s culinary reputation.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in pastry production, preferably in a hotel, resort, or fine dining environment.
- Strong creative and artistic skills in dessert and pastry presentation.
- Solid knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in menu development and cost control.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate the pastry team.
- Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
