Receiving Manager

The Receiving Manager is responsible for leading and managing the full receiving operations of goods and supplies in a supermarket environment. This includes overseeing receiving staff, ensuring compliance with inventory processes, and maintaining accuracy in goods intake, documentation, and storage. The role is crucial in ensuring the right products are received efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operational Oversight**:
- Manage all inbound goods and materials to the supermarket.
- Ensure accurate checking of quantity and quality of received goods against delivery orders and purchase orders.
- Monitor receiving schedules to avoid congestion and delays at loading bays.
**Team Management**:
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of receiving staff, including executives and store assistants.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure high productivity and compliance with SOPs.
**Inventory Control**:
- Collaborate with inventory and purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies, overages, or shortages.
- Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and timely transfer of goods to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and stock-taking purposes.
**Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.
- Implement best practices for storage, handling, and receiving procedures.
- Coordinate with QA teams on product inspections and rejection processes.
**Reporting and Communication**:
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on receiving performance, discrepancies, and stock movement.
- Liaise with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum **5 years of experience** in warehouse/receiving operations, with at least **2 years in a managerial or supervisory role**, preferably in the supermarket or retail sector.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel is essential).
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical aspects of the job when required.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
