This role requires expertise in RPGLE, CL, DB2/400, and deep knowledge of banking operations, transaction processing, and financial regulations.

1. AS400 Development & Enhancement

Maintain and optimize existing AS400 programs to meet business requirements.

Perform system coding, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure stability.

2. Core Banking System Management

Work with banking modules such as customer accounts, loans, deposits, and payments.

Ensure real-time transaction processing and account reconciliations.

Implement enhancements for new banking products and regulatory changes.

3. Database Management & Integration

Develop stored procedures, triggers, and queries for banking transactions.

4. Performance Optimization & Stability

Monitor system performance and batch processing efficiency.

Tune database queries and batch jobs for optimal performance.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in core banking transactions.

5. Compliance & Security Management

Ensure compliance with banking regulations and financial security standards.

Implement necessary data protection, encryption, and access controls.

Support audit requirements and financial reporting standards.

6. Production Support & Issue Resolution

Provide L3 support for banking incidents and system issues.

Investigate and resolve failed transactions, customer account discrepancies, and payment failures.

Coordinate with business analysts, testing teams, and operations to ensure seamless banking services.

7. Documentation & Collaboration

Document technical specifications, system changes, and business workflows.

Engage with business teams, testers, and infrastructure teams to implement new solutions.

Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and mentoring for junior developers.10+ Years / 8+ Years
