**Role Description: Quality Control Officer (Food Manufacturing)**

**Key ResponsibilitiesIn-coming Quality & Food Safety Control (IQFSC)**
- Ensure traceability of ingredients and finished goods with proper record keeping
- Manage allergen segregation, labelling, and storage (chilled & ambient)
- Verify pre/post checks of Critical Control Points (CCP), e.g., chiller temperature
- Enforce FIFO principles for raw and packaging materials usage
- Inspect incoming materials as per standard samples
- Obtain verified samples for new packaging inspections
- Verify customer-supplied materials meet company and HALAL standards
- Ensure sanitary procedures are followed at all times

**In-progress Quality & Food Safety Control (IPQFSC)**
- Perform in-process inspections per IPQFSC plan and maintain records
- Verify sanitization of equipment from premix to final product stages
- Verify functionality and usage of CCP tools (e.g., metal detector, scale)
- Promote correct food handling, hygiene, safety, and 5S practices
- Support CCP monitoring and food safety record updates
- Assist in requesting production and quality materials

**Out-going Quality & Food Safety Control (OQFSC)**
- Conduct inspection of finished goods per OQFSC plan and label properly
- Ensure finished goods are stored under optimum conditions as per SOP

**Plant Cleanliness & Environmental Monitoring**
- Assist in daily cleaning activity planning and attend related meetings
- Monitor cleanliness against schedule and verify with Cleaning Checklists
- Inspect hygiene in areas like AHU filters, toilets, pantry, offices, etc.
- Support inspections by outsource contractors (CKO, TKE, SAM PEST, EUREKA)
- Check and control chemical usage and pest control effectiveness
- Verify recyclable materials and check first aid kits
- Record machine breakdowns and report equipment conditions to superior

**Quality Documentation & Communication**
- Understand and comply with all quality control plans (IQFSC, IPQFSC, OQFSC)
- Communicate any product rejections and support segregation/quarantine procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QC documents
- Support QA in non-conformity handling and corrective actions
- Train QC personnel and interns on routine inspection tasks
- Uphold CSR, hygiene, quality, safety, and 5S practices
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Skills & Competencies**
- Knowledge of HACCP, HALAL, GMP, and food safety systems
- Strong attention to detail and hygiene practices
- Good recordkeeping and documentation skills
- Communication and coordination across departments
- Problem-solving and reporting capabilities
- Team player with good work discipline

**Education, Qualifications & Training**
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
- On-the-job training provided in company’s quality systems and SOPs

**Experience & Specialised Knowledge**
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality control or assurance in a food manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with ISO standards, food safety audits, CCP, and allergen management
- Able to read and complete documentation in English and Malay
