**About us**:
**APPLIED AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES Sdn. Bhd.** was established in 1986 and is an associate company of two highly successful public listed Malaysian companies, namely Boustead Plantations Berhad and Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad. As a leading research centre in tropical plantation crops, our core activities involve research in crop improvement and production, providing advisory services for plantation crops, as well as the production and sale of oil palm tissue culture ramets and seeds.

**Role**:
**Achievements to-date**
- Extensive experience in soil taxonomy, with a deep understanding of soil classification systems and principles.
- Proficiency in utilising digital tools and modelling techniques for soil analysis and prediction.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex soil data effectively.
- Experience working in oil palm plantations or similar agricultural settings is preferred.

**Additional requirements**:

- Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Possess strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel extensively.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting soil surveys and assessments to characterise soil properties and classify soils according to taxonomy standards.
- Implementing soil health monitoring programs to evaluate soil fertility, structure, and microbial activity.
- Utilising digital tools and modelling techniques to analyse soil data and predict soil behaviour under different management scenarios.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop soil management strategies that optimise oil palm productivity while preserving soil health.
- Providing technical guidance and training to field staff on soil taxonomy principles and best practices for soil and crop management.
- Staying informed about the latest developments in soil science, digital technologies, and modelling trends relevant to soil taxonomy.

**Remuneration**:
**Salary**: RM4,700.00 - RM6,450.00 per month
