**About the Job**:
To support continued growth, we are searching for a solution-orientated and creative Lead Flow Assurance Engineer with the technical knowledge and people leadership skills to play a leading role in the evolving energy security and transition markets.

The role falls within the Production Optimization team at Wood and will provide flow assurance engineering expertise and judgment in support of engineering studies, integrity management, and the delivery of safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

As a Lead Flow Assurance Engineer, you will oversee and execute flow assurance studies, and provide related technical support on projects, ranging from conceptual to detailed engineering and operation support. You will have the opportunity to be involved in business development activities. You will be part of the Production Optimisation team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and may work with other Wood offices globally.

- Lead flow assurance studies for a range of different projects from concept through to detail engineering and operations support.
- Function as a technical specialist who develops approaches and applies advanced engineering concepts to unique engineering problems.
- Participation in Wood’s global Production Optimization team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Drive excellence in the execution and delivery of contracted activities.
- Manage and supervise various sized teams of flow assurance engineers.
- Provides technical review for complex projects within the area of expertise.
- Managing and providing technical direction and guidance, managing client relationships and project team engagement, with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation and risk.

- A minimum of 15 years of experience in process and flow assurance.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, for example, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar.
- Chartership, Professional Engineer (PE) status or equivalent relevant professional license/registration from a recognised national or industry engineering institution is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in leading onshore & offshore hydrocarbon field development projects (flow assurance scope).
- With our growth into energy transition, experience in the design and operation of CCS, H 2 transport and blending analysis, and cryogenic transport (e.g., LNG, ammonia, liquid H 2 ) would be desirable but is not required.
- Demonstrated experience in managing flow assurance issues like solid management (hydrate, wax, scale, sand, asphaltene) and liquid management.
- Demonstrated interface experiences with clients, third-party contractors and vendors.
- Demonstrated experience in work scope / CTR development and resource management.
- Familiarity with thermodynamic and flow simulators and design standards/ codes.
- High familiarity with flow assurance software is essential, e.g., OLGA, PipeSim, Multiflash.
- Good understanding of process modelling, e.g., separator, compressor, pump, heat exchanger, and controller. Experience in process dynamic modelling, e.g., HYSYS Dynamic / UNISIM, would be advantageous.
