Maintenance Technician

**Role Overview**: Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel’s facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing guest requests promptly, and ensuring that all hotel equipment and systems are functioning correctly.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Routine Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, tightening fittings, and lubricating moving parts.
- Ensure HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning correctly.

**Repairs**:

- Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other hotel equipment.
- Address guest room maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment or fixtures as needed.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all maintenance work complies with hotel safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

**Emergency Response**:

- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages, leaks, or HVAC failures, ensuring mínimal disruption to guests.
- Coordinate with other staff members to resolve urgent issues promptly.

**Record Keeping**:

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Track and order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the front desk, housekeeping, and other departments to address maintenance needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist in training new maintenance staff on hotel procedures and safety protocols.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a hospitality environment.

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

**Soft Skills**:

- Good communication skills to interact with guests and hotel staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and respond to emergency calls as needed.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role involves working in various environments within the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and outdoor spaces.
- May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as electrical systems and machinery.

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM1,750.00 per month
