**Location**: Johor Bahru

**Salary**: RM2,000 - RM2,500

**Working Days**: 5 days (Mon - Fri)| 2 offdays | 8am - 5pm.

**Job Requirement**:

- Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in related field.
- Fresh grads are encouraged to apply.
- Can speak and read in Mandarin.
- Edit manuscripts thoroughly.
- Closely collaborate and plan with writers.
- Establish guidelines and due dates for manuscript writing.
- Review the sample chapter from the author.
- Monitoring writers' writing progress in accordance with the predetermined deadlines.
- Ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
- Design a list of headings and icons.
- Double-check the header and icon designs.
- Check out the layout example.
- Coordinate and communicate with the production team with regard to corrections, typesetting, and layout.
- Identify the book's overall appearance or structure.
- Check and approve any illustrations created for the book.
- Check the book's entire text and cover images.
- Secure resources such as information, data, photographs, etc.
- Prepare/check the book's front and back matter's selling points.
- Prepare/check the dummy for the printer's use.
- Check the mechanical and color proofs of the book cover.
- Buy reference materials.
- Liaise with Marketing Department for feedback on newly released titles.
- Suggest a novel publication format (series or titles).
- Make sure books are updated, reviewed, and fixed before they are reprinted.
- Write a pertinent note to writers.
- Brief the marketing representatives on the selling factors for recently released books.
- Create marketing materials like posters, calendars, booklets, etc.
- Prepare Royalties Table for the royalty based titles.
- Produce books as and when they are needed.
- Translate overseas titles as and when required.
- Perform any ad hoc and other duties relating to the above as may be assigned by your superior from time to time.
