Shift Chargeman

Main Accountabilities:
- Follow all plant safety requirements and participate in activities to continuously improve safety performance. Lead/participate in department and site safety initiatives including attending and leading safety meetings as assigned.- Comply to work procedures (SOPs), Synthomer Policies, Code of Conduct, Employee handbook, Core Values, SHEMS, SHE principles/10 golden rules, safety induction, QMS procedures and regulatory requirements to meet departmental objectives and ensure work activities are performed safely.- Maximise availability of plant equipment through effective preventative and reactive maintenance that assigned to you.- Preparation of effective PTW, comply & contribute to task & process hazards identification- Ensure compliance of SHE requirements by contractors and co-workers.- Stand-by to response to call-in for rectification of emergency breakdown/problems and work at extended hour.- Ensure relevant electrical equipment are calibrated and maintain its compliance to various standards.- Enforce site rules and regulations, and company safety procedures.- Maintain a high 5S system for the work shop and any other work place in the site.- Actively participate in any site improvement initiatives and attend any trainings determined by superiors.- Enforce electrical LOTO in compliance of PTW requirements.- Oversee the safety aspects of any maintenance jobs that is happening during shift hours in the absence of other maintenance personnel.

Expected Deliverable:
1. Carry out duty as per planned shift roster. Stand-by to response to call-in for rectification of emergency breakdown/problems and work at extended hour.

2. Carry out planned and routine electrical tasks to ensure plant machinery is running effectively and safely. Ensure routines are completed thoroughly and efficiently.

3. Carry out electrical troubleshooting and rectification as and when required to ensure plant availability is maximised.

4. Anticipate failures on plant machinery and highlight with recommendations to prevent failure to Team Leader and planner.

5. Operation of diesel power generators.

6. Become a permit to work(PTW) acceptor, authorised entrant & stand-by person(AESP), and any competency that is required/determined by the superior.

7. Carry out tasks effectively, efficiently and work without direct supervision.

8. Carry out any task assigned by superior effectively and timely.

9. Report to leader any general plant infrastructure issues with regards buildings & services.

10. Reporting of planned/unplanned follow up actions to leader in order for the work orders to be closed off in a timely manner with the correct level of feedback.

11. Develop a trusting and respectful relationship with manufacturing teams to ensure a shared urgency is placed on breakdown follow items.

12. Ensure effective communication with the manufacturing team on day to day basis to understand key issues and communicate technical issues and/or planned maintenance that could impact on production.

13. Actively contribute to the department and site to achieve KPIs and world class performance on the selected areas.

Other Responsibilities:
1. Support MST maintenance.

2. ERP team members.

3. Participate in mock drills.

Requirements:
- Chargeman competency of grade A4 from Energy Commission and/or Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering / Science, with minimum 5 years relevant working experience.- Switching of 415V switchgear, operation of diesel power generator, Permit acceptor, AESP, hot work such as welding, cutting, high competency on using wrenches, typical mechanical tools.- Troubleshooting and rectification of electrical installations.- General problem solving, effective communication, Interactive, safety, 5S, hazards identification, shaft alignment, etc.- Able to work in 12 Hour Rotational shift (2 Day Shift, 2 Night Shift, 3 Off day & 1 Rest Day)- Able to work at Pasir Gudang, Johor.
