Director, Treaty

We're hiring We are looking for a Director, Treaty to join our team in KL, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

**What The Day Will Look Like**:
The Broker will be responsible for servicing Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ clients, providing them with quality advice and reinsurance solutions aimed at optimising their portfolio and will also be responsible for providing technical advisory support for clients and colleagues. The Broker will be the primary point of contact for requests and/or queries from their assigned clients and reinsurers alike. In order to carry out their duties, the Treaty Broker will have to work closely with various departments within Aon Reinsurance Solutions’, e.g. Analytics Department, Technical Account Management Department (formerly Broking Support), Client Services Department, etc. The Treaty Broker is also expected to develop and maintain good working relationships with various clients and reinsurers, with the aim of strengthening our partnerships in the market & winning new accounts. Client relationship management responsibilities include:
1. Gathering information from clients and assessing their reinsurance needs.

2. Handling clients’ Reinsurance Treaty program renewals which includes:

- Cleaning up & analyzing the renewal information pack.
- Utilizing our in-house pricing tools to work out quotes for benchmarking & negotiation purposes.
- Explaining our catastrophe modeling reports to clients followed by recommendation on the optimal level of catastrophe reinsurance cover that they should purchase.
- Building relationships and negotiating with various international reinsurers for the most comprehensive cover at the best price.
- Placement of client’s reinsurance programs in a timely fashion.

3. Client servicing activities which includes:

- Handling of special acceptance requests.
- Setting up meetings with reinsurers and clients periodically.
- Work closely with Client Services (CSD) colleagues to facilitate prompt settlement of premium and claims collection, including addressing complicated claims payment issues.

4. Maintaining up-to-date and complete documentation for all reports which includes:

- Minutes of meetings with clients & reinsurers.
- Catastrophe Benchmarking Reports.
- Budget Forecast Reports.
- Company Profiles.
- Quarterly Reinsurance Market Outlook Reports.
- Country Reports.

5. Work closely with Analytics colleagues aimed at better assessing, quantifying and understanding client risk profile in order to optimize and manage risk through optimal reinsurance and capital solutions.

6. Keeping up with major changes in the Malaysia Insurance Market and maintaining a record of these changes.

7. Setting up market events for clients or reinsurers and promoting the Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ brand.

**Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success**:

- Diploma or Degree or equivalent experience in any related field.
- Working experience in the insurance industry or other industry handling sales and client interaction have added advantage.
