The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving workplace safety programs in compliance with Malaysian safety regulations (DOSH, OSHA 1994) and industry best practices. This role ensures a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, safety training, and enforcing policies in a food manufacturing setting.

**1. Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia's Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) and other relevant regulations.
- Liaise with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) and other authorities for inspections, audits, and licensing.
- Maintain and update safety-related documentation (e.g., SOPs, permits, audits).

**2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control**
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identifications, and job safety analysis (JSA).
- Develop and implement control measures to reduce workplace accidents and injuries.

**3. Incident Investigation & Reporting**
- Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and non-compliance incidents.
- Recommend corrective actions and follow up on implementation.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and safety performance reports.

**4. Safety Training & Awareness**
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including fire drills, PPE usage, first aid, and chemical handling.
- Promote a strong safety culture through awareness programs and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure all employees understand food safety protocols and workplace safety regulations.

**5. Emergency Preparedness & Response**
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained in emergency response.
- Coordinate with local fire departments, medical teams, and emergency services.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum **2-3 years of experience** in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian OHS regulations
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
