Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage safety operations throughout the entire data center construction phase, developing and implementing safety management strategies, plans, and emergency response procedures to achieve zero major incidents on site.
  2. Conduct daily site safety inspections, audits, and supervision to identify, assess and mitigate construction-related risks, including working at height, hot works, temporary electrical installations, and heavy machinery operations.
  3. Establish, implement, and continuously improve safety management systems, contractor safety procedures, and emergency response protocols, ensuring strict safety compliance across all contractors and construction personnel.
  4. Organize and deliver site safety induction programs and specialized safety training for employees and contractors, enhance safety awareness and compliance, and manage safety certification and documentation records.
  5. Act as the primary safety liaison and coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all construction activities comply with company HSE policies, industry standards, and Malaysian safety regulations.
  6. Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence of safety hazards.
  7. Prepare safety performance reports and participate in project safety meetings and audits.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields. Professional safety certifications such as NEBOSH, NIOSH Safety & Health Officer (SHO), or equivalent are an added advantage.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in safety management for large-scale construction or industrial projects. Experience in data center, factory, semiconductor, or M&E construction projects is preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, risk control procedures, and incident investigation methods.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and contractor coordination skills, able to enforce safety standards effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  5. Proficient in English; ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and familiarity with local safety legislation is an advantage.
  6. Able to work full-time on-site and adapt to project-based working environments.
