JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, standards and procedures;
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace;
  • Developing and implementing measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents;
  • Designing and delivering safety training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote safe work practices;
  • Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root cause and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
  • Developing, updating, and enforcing safety policies, procedures and protocols;
  • Planning and coordinating emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans and first aid protocols;
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess compliance and ensure adherence to safety standards;
  • Maintaining accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections and compliance activities;
  • Communicating safety-related information to employees, management and relevant stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance;
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices and procedures to enhance workplace safety and reduce risks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in related field;
  • Valid DOSH Registered SHO (Green Book);
  • Three or more years of experience in related department;
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise;
  • Understanding of safety management system and regulatory issues;
  • Being a DOE registered Scheduled Waste competent person is and advantage.
