**Position: Kitchen Helper/Assistant Chef**

Job Summary: As a Kitchen Helper, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, supporting various aspects of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen maintenance. Your role will contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food production, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Food Preparation:

- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately according to recipes.

2. Cooking Support:

- Aid in cooking and assembling dishes under the guidance of the kitchen staff.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality.
- Support different cooking stations as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth teamwork.
- Help manage increased workload during peak service hours.

3. Food Presentation and Safety Compliance
- Assist in plating dishes and garnishing them appropriately before serving.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe cooking environment.

4. Cleaning, Sanitization & Waster Disposal:

- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using proper cleaning techniques.
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, countertops, and kitchen equipment regularly.
- Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables as per guidelines.

5. Inventory Management:

- Assist in checking and restocking inventory as needed.
- Help organize and rotate ingredients to maintain freshness.

**Job Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service field is added advantage.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen supervisors and chefs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Willing to work in the Putra Heights area.

**Remuneration**:
Basic Salary RM1.5K - RM2K

OT Claimable

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
