Lab Assistant

**Main Accountabilities**:

- Pro-actively identify, report on and improve safety related issues in immediate working environment using available tools and systems.
- Carry out basic fluid properties test such as total solid content, pH, viscosity, particle size, redox potential and others.
- Assist chemist(s) to carry out some basic experiments.
- Carry out housekeeping at workplace when required.
- Perform additional tasks as required by supervisor.
- To be aware and adhere to the overall SHE & quality policies of the company.

**Expected Deliverable**:

- To provide the lab run log sheet with detail information and observation.
- To check and update the QC result of the tested samples.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Ensure safe operation of OIT activity in Polymer Lab area (zero accident).
- To take part in SHE related activities organized by the department and site.
- To support R&D in general lab maintenance task such as housekeeping and audits.
- Performance requested SHE tasks in due time.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- **Minimum Diploma in Chemical Sciences or Chemical Engineering**:

- **2-3 years Production Support or Product Improvement Experience**:

- **Fresh graduates with laboratory experience are welcome to apply.**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, including English
- Good task-based approach to work with a level of independence.
- Proactively identify, report on, and improve lab findings.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail are required. The ability to work well with others is necessary.
- Must be able to work in **Kulai, Johor.**:

- The job requires **5 days of work per week** and the ability to **work additional overtime less than 4 hours per day**.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
