Operations - Branch Operations Operator - Associate

**Details of the Division and Team**:
Responsible for timely completion and accurate processing of trades matching, clearing and settlement of the bank securities services clients’ investment (equities and fixed income) for both domestic and foreign markets, including performing relevant controls within own area of responsibility and compliance with internal as well as regulatory requirement, and must also ensure timely escalation of any operational issue and risks to the line manager.

The Branch Operations Operator may also need to maintain and managing relationship with internal and external clients/counter parties at an appropriate level.

**Your key responsibilities**:
Main Duties
- Responsible for processing of trades matching and settlement across all products by using all internal and external regulatory systems and platforms.
- Clients’ instructions are processed and settlements instructions are sent to the relevant markets in a timely manner and meeting market deadline without any failed trades.
- Instruction initiated by clients are process in accordance with service standards agreed with the clients in the SLA.
- Timely reporting and close follow up of trades problems and failed trades to clients.
- Actively monitor and priorities all daily task within role to ensure completeness in timely and accurate manner.
- Pre-matching of trades with counter parties and initiating of securities transfer and monitoring of inward transfer via depository system for equities trades settling via FDSS mode.
- Uploading and monitoring of matching and settlement status via CMF for equities trades settling via ISS mode.
- Uploading and monitoring of matching and settlement status via RENTAS for fixed income trades.
- End to end trades processing of clients’ foreign securities investment by close monitoring and follow up with agent and update the status to clients accordingly.
- Management of forex transactions.

Other Duties
- Back up coverage within the team
- BCP exercise for both internally within the bank and externally (i.e regulatory).
- Involvement of regulatory industry wide testing as and when required.
- Assisting senior for projects and system UAT as and when required.
- Quarterly reporting to clients as per regulatory requirement.

**Your skills and experience**:

- Effective communication skill (oral and written) and able to manage relationship with clients and counter parties both locally and foreign.
- Good knowledge of Malaysia market trades settlement for both equities and fixed income.
- With experience and exposure of related regulatory system (i.e CDS, CMF, SBLNT & RENTAS)
- With relevant knowledges, experience, and exposure in managing foreign market trades processing and liaising with foreign markets sub-custodian.
- Ability to perform multi tasking and team work oriented.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight turn around time and meeting the relevant deadlines.
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent
- Related or equivalent working experiences in Banking/Finance industry
