Manufacturing Technical Supervisor

As a manager, set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.
- Responsible for total area performance in terms of safety quality output and cost through staffing training development and retention of the group.
- Responsible for good people management, assisting direct reports with their career and technical development.
- Leading and facilitating technical problem, solving activities spanning on multiple shifts or areas.
- Promoting a systematic problem solving technique and ensuring proper resources are engaged.
- Responsible for the area performance activities integration continuity of 24x7 and consistency between shifts. Assuming direct ownership of all on shift issues within assigned toolset.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance, tool quality and tool ran rate. Directing and coaching resources of group to resolve priorities and technical issues.
- Partnering effectively with other departments to achieve results in a positive and timely manner.
- Coordinating activities with all parties: engineering, manufacturing, yield, vendor, virtual factory including escalation of problems.
- Delivering tactical and strategic capability to the shift and module teams.
**Qualifications**
Degree in relevant technical/engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Able to work in rotating shifts and have supervisory experience.
Must be able to adopt Industry 4.0 with strong learning and adaptability attitude to the environment. Some basic project management experience would be added advantage.
Should be able to work with minimum supervision and plan loading for area of coverage.
