**GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION**
- Able to communicate in Mandarin with overseas freight agent. In charge of freight sourcing and service selection rules, terms and conditions, communication and negotiating tactics to help reduce acquisition costs as low as possible. In the contemporary supply chain, commodities procurement ensures that goods are supplied on schedule and in the correct amounts. It contributes to cost reduction and faster delivery. Responsible for ensuring that all procurement, asset, warehouse, transportation, and fleet files are filed in accordance with the agreed-upon procedure and policy.

**What would your role look like?**
Reporting to the Manager, you will:

- Deliver maximum profit and optimize business assets in accordance with group business strategies and local business environment.
- To ensure capacity procurement and management at Global level is aligned to Corporate Carrier Strategy in terms of carrier choice and shifting.
- To interface and work with Country / Regional / Local carrier contacts to resolve operational issues.
- Escalation to Carrier Principal office as and when necessary.
- Provide feedback and input on Carrier Performance on a regular basis.
- Negotiating freight rates and service level agreement with carrier when required.
- Support/Execute Ansell Global Rate Request Desk and ensure full record keeping.
- As the Subject Matter Expert for Air/Ocean Freight, to provide market intelligent, insights and shipping trends.
- Provide statistical reports but no limited to Volume performance (FCL/LCL/AIR), Carrier / Airline / NVO / 3PL Performance & Freight Spent.
- Capable of analyzing the reports generated and provide support/solutions
- On-going managing the providers or carrier costs effectiveness and efficiency to achieve the set KPI/targets.
- Close collaboration with Region/country Supply Chain / Logistics teams to understand local / regional / global market developments as well as provide local market feedback to Regions.
- Review meetings with carriers on a quarterly basis and taking corrective action to achieve mutual target.
- Facilitate and support countries for corporate/regional projects by ensuring carriers cooperation.
- To provide day to day support, advice and consultancy on Ocean/Air business related to terms and condition like rates, validity, space protection, free times etc.
- Lead SoS (Source of Supply) logistics processes, network optimization and continuous logistics process and operations improvement to bring Ansell’s logistics to best practice.
- Analyze business requirements, identify today’s process vs system gaps, assess alternative solutions, develop the system and process solution with IT to enhance logistics operations performance for SoS & GTC (Global Trading Center)
- Provide the guidance and lead OTC (Order-to-Cash), GTC track on logistics and trade compliance requirements, centralize freight management and cost model.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure seamless logistics integration across all SoS and Regions.
- Collaborate with Regions logistics leaders and Global Logistics Lead to assess and create the efficient and responsive global supply and distribution process, network and channel with deliverables to optimize the global logistics total “cost-to-serve”.
- Spearhead SoS distribution network and delivery models to facilitate GTC as central-led procurement purpose.
- Establish SOP for effective freight management & logistics operations from both process and cost optimization purpose.

**What you will bring**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics / Transportation or Business or equivalent.
- Strong logistics knowledge and analytical skill for complex problem solving, demonstrated ability to analyze complex business process and system, trouble-shoot complex business or process problem and provide the appropriate solutions.
- Excellent requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills.
- Experience interfacing with IT and business users and working on complex projects.
- Possessed in depth knowledge of carrier’s functions.
- Good knowledge of Logistics, warehousing & distribution, Ocean/Air/Road/Rail Freight & Courier Express services.
- Acquired knowledge in general shipping matters - ie.L/C, shipping documentation, marine insurance claims, CFS & Port operations, customs clearance, freighting, shipment terms, etc. PC skills with an emphasis on spreadsheets and data base programs. Well versed in MS Office software - ie. Ms-Word, Ms-Excel and Ms-PowerPoint.
