Job Description:
Your responsibilities as the Hostess (K Restaurant) will include but not limited to:

- Guest Reception
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they enter.
- Be a brand ambassador and ensure good reputation and uphold the Brand Standards of the restaurant.
- Escort guests to the tables, provide menus, and introduce the server for the table, ensuring a seamless transition from reception to dining.
- Reservation Management
- Handle reservations efficiently, manage the seating plan, and accommodate special request to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
- Ensure special requests such as dietary restrictions, seating preferences, and special occasions (eg. Anniversaries, Birthdays) are noted and communicated to the relevant staff.
- Maintain Ambiance
- Regularly monitor the entrance, waiting areas, and dining room to ensure the environement reflects the high standard of the restaurant.
- Uphold a polished and professional appearance at all times, reflecting the luxury and sophistication of the restaurant.
- Communication
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations, particularly during peak hours.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, special requests, and guest preferences for future visits.
- Assist in training new hostesses on effective communication techniques, ensuring that they understand the importance of clear, courteous, and professional interactions with both guests and staff.
- Customer Service
- Address any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and poise, ensuring any issues are resolved promptly.
- Providing knowledgeable guidance on Japanese dining customs and etiquette to guests unfamiliar with the cuisine.
- Actively communicate with the service team to ensure that guests with special needs (eg. Accessibility requirements, allergies) received the necessary attention from the moment they are seated.
- Handle guest feedback with care, ensuring all comments and concerns are addressed and communicated to the relevant departments for improvement.
- Accurately enter guest information into the reservation system and prepared reports on guest feedback and satisfaction for management review.
- Others:

- Understand and agree that the company management reserve the right to add or remove clauses to these job descriptions.
- Carry out all duties/ tasks as instructed by the leadership team from Ilham Dining Concepts that are within the parameters of Company’s values and Purpose.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hostess or front of house role in a Restaurant or Hotel Industry, preferably with experience in Japanese or Fusion cuisine.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing. Additional language is a plus
- Professional and well-groomed appearance in line with the restaurant standards.
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture, cuisine, and dining etiquette in highly preferred.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
