Gis Developer

Responsibilities:

- **Database Management**: Create and maintain Postgres geodatabase models.
- **Spatial Data Analysis**: Analyze spatial data using mapping software.
- **Map Design**: Design digital maps incorporating geographic and other data sources.
- **Reporting and Visualization**: Produce reports and data visualizations of geographic data for demonstration purposes.
- **Library Management**: Manage a digital library of geographic maps in various file types for demonstration purposes.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work effectively within a team to develop GIS solutions.
- **Sales Support**: Collaborate closely with the sales team to gather user information and provide technical assistance.
- **Implementation Support**: Provide GIS technical assistance during the implementation stage.
- **Troubleshooting**: Assist end users with troubleshooting issues and report to the principal for further assistance if needed.
- **Event Participation**: Participate in principal-organized events such as product launches, training sessions, and hands-on workshops.
- **In-house Events**: Assist in organizing and supporting in-house events from a technical perspective.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- GIS certifications such as GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional) are a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a similar industry or with multinational clients.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Postgres and geodatabase management.
- Strong knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience with spatial data analysis and digital map design.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Customer-oriented with strong service and troubleshooting skills.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Willingness to participate in external and in-house events.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and processes.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL is an added advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,563.69 per month

- Ara Damansara: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
