**About the role**

We are seeking a **Regional People Operations Specialist** who will oversee the daily operations of key HR functions, including employee lifecycle management, payroll, compliance, and employee relations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to address operations-related issues and ensure seamless execution of people-related processes across the region.

This role is based in **Malaysia**and reports directly to the **Senior Regional People Operations Specialist**

**A summary of the key responsibilities and requirements are as follows**:

- You will be an employee-facing member of the People & Culture team, working closely with employees across the region from onboarding to offboarding.
- Provide HR support to the business by answering employee and manager questions about people policies and processes.
- Maintain and audit data entered in our HR system throughout the employee lifecycle, and generate reports when necessary.
- Maintain, review, and continuously update DA’s people policies and templates to ensure they remain relevant to the business and various employee groups.
- Take ownership of benefits administration and HRIS, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to support accurate payroll processing and related activities.
- Partner with the People Operations team in all regulatory, compliance, and audit-related activities for Malaysia and the region where appropriate.
- Contribute to People & Culture projects with the rest of the team.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned when appropriate.

**About you**
- Min 2 years of HR Operations and/or HR Generalist experience. Southeast Asia experience is a plus.
- Unquestioned integrity and confidentiality.
- Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow.
- Demonstrated client-service orientation, with a clear, approachable, and friendly communication style with a positive customer service and solutions-focused attitude.
- Tech savvy and comfortable with any HRIS (preferably BambooHR), GSuite especially Excel skills.
- Detail oriented and have patience to audit and dive deep into HR data to determine patterns and check for inaccuracies.
- Technical curiosity and interest in evolving trends in HR products and services.
- Experience of working within a tech startup and hyper growth environment and one where there have been acquisitions and there are multiple legal entities to be managed.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun
