Western Digital® data-centric solutions are found under the G-Technology, HGST, SanDisk®, Tegile, Upthere, and WD® brands. **Job Description**: - Authorizing the activities related to non ionizing radiation. - Conducting inspection (surveillance) and taking enforcement actions to ensure radiation safety requirements are being implemented. - Establishing standards and regulations for radiation protection and safe operation pertaining to atomic energy. - competent person appointed by the licensee and approved by AELB in writing to supervise the implementation of appropriate radiation protection regulations measures and procedures including the radiation protection programmed. Regulation 23 of Malaysian Radiation Protection (Basic safety standards) regulations 2010, requires any Company who operates X-ray activities must have full time RPO on site. - Implement a radiation protection programmed as specified. - Implement secure and safe working procedures for normal operations, storage, disposal, transportation, and abnormal situations. - Supervise the implementation of appropriate radiation protection regulations, measures and procedures. - To act as contact person with all statutory and other external bodies dealing with EHS matters; gathering information to explore possibilities of future deployment; advising, monitoring, and ensuring action is taken on the advice and recommendations received from external statutory agencies. - To develop, implement, review, and enforce EHS rules and regulations, policies and procedures across employees, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers - Assist top management and process owner on the safety rules implementations. - Communicate with authorities (DOSH, DOE, AELB, BOMBA & etc) - Carry out inspection and audit (follow the requirement of ISO 14001 standard and OSHA/EQA). - Carry out any investigation of accident/incident, near misses, dangerous occurrence, and occupational poisoning/disease to comply with NADOPOD Reg 2004. - Assist or guide team member perform assessment (EAI & HIRADC assessment) or any activities related to EHS. - Handle scheduled wastes management. - To arrange for annual renewal of fire certificate. - Conduct in house training to all employees and interested parties to promote safety and health awareness. - Involved in numerous numbers of internal and external auditing such as fire certification renewal, ISO 14001 audit, OHSAS18001, AELB Audit, DOSH inspection and others. **Qualifications**: 1. Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health Management or equivalent. 2. Certified Radiation Protection Officer by Atomic Energy Licencing Board (AELB) 3. Certified Safety & Health Officer by Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) 4. Good knowledge and experience in EICC/ RBA 5. Good knowledge in ERT management.
