Production Supervisor

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor for Blowing or Injection Moulding Machines is responsible for overseeing and managing the production processes related to blowing or injection moulding in the manufacturing facility. The incumbent will supervise a team of machine operators and ensure the efficient operation of the machinery to meet production targets and quality standards. The role requires working in a 2-shift system from Monday to Saturday. Key Responsibilities: 1. Machine Operation Supervision: Supervise and lead a team of machine operators engaged in the operation of blowing or injection moulding machines. Ensure the machines are set up correctly, and processes are executed in accordance with standard operating procedures. 2. Production Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop production plans and schedules based on customer orders and sales forecasts. Monitor daily production output to meet production targets. 3. Quality Control: Monitor product quality at regular intervals during production runs. Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high-quality standards. 4. Troubleshooting: Identify and address production-related issues promptly. Work with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve machine breakdowns and other technical problems. 5. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed by machine operators and production staff. Conduct regular safety inspections to maintain a safe working environment. 6. Training and Development: Provide training to new machine operators and ongoing training to existing staff to improve their skills and efficiency. 7. Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Implement process improvements and best practices. 8. Inventory Management: Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient raw material availability for production needs. Monitor and control raw material consumption to minimize wastage. 9. Reporting: Maintain production records, machine maintenance logs, and other relevant documentation. Generate regular reports on production output, efficiency, and quality. 10. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and coach the production team to achieve performance targets. Address performance issues and provide constructive feedback. 11. Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and any other relevant industry standards.
