Tasks and Responsibilities

To read and action on letters, reports and communication books (logbooks).

To authorize purchase requests, weekly requisitions, petty cash and other allowance usage.

To establish, revise and update both Job Description and Standard Operation Procedures (S.O.P.) for Housekeeping Department as necessary.

To administer the employment and termination of all Housekeeping personnel.

To supervise the daily processing and distribution of documents and reports to the management.

To keep all records and reports concerning Housekeeping matters and hotel's business confidential.

To maintain a sound inter-departmental working relationship.

To formulate plans for improving Housekeeping departmental service quality upgrading programmed.

To initiate and motivate the Housekeeping department key personnel in achieving a maximum productivity at all times.

To give specific training to key personnel in the department to enhance both motivation and the knowledge of the hotel's Housekeeping operations.

To closely co-ordinate room availability with Front Office Manager.
