Manager - Housekeeping

Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all Mall, public areas and common areas.
- Planning, organising and directing team members to ensure satisfaction and high standards of cleanliness in all Mall on daily basis.
- Train, and supervise other housekeeping staff, assign them with tasks, and conduct performance reviews and evaluations.
- Preparing budgets for your department, ensuring that cleaning supplies are in stock.
- Daily supervision of all housekeeping staffs and Service Providers cleaners.
- Respond to and resolve any complaints from tenants, shoppers and empower their housekeeping staff to provide excellent service.
- Recruit, schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members.
- To adhere to all meetings such as health and safety, infection prevention and control, monthly team meetings.
- To ensure that each member of the housekeeping team understands the organization’s cleaning procedure.
- Implement more effective and efficient operating procedures to achieve target standards of cleanliness.
- Plan and facilitate team member daily meetings and yearly performance evaluations for housekeepers.
- Maintain positive relations with vendors to ensure smooth operations in Mall.
- To ensure Hatten’s Rules and Regulations are strictly adhered to.
- To inspect and buy-off tenant’s provision before the pre-opening to ensure compliance with Fit Out request.
- To manage and be accountable for the M&E spare parts store.
- Ensure all fit-out/tenancy works programs are carried out line with company procedures.
- Follow up personally on M&E system failures or other major repair works.
- Assist the Senior Facility Manager in negotiating and administering service contracts.
Monitor, investigate and report the performance of service provider in regular basis.
- Assist Facility Manager in soliciting bids from several prior registered/approve contractors, compiling tender documents and ensuring that contract bids are competitive, and the bidding process is following proper procedures and policies strictly instructed by management.
- Assist Senior Facility Manager, Facility Manager to make decision awarding repair jobs to contractor’ s for specialist’s repairs if the breakdown is not within the capability of the M&E technicians.
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with tenants, customers, vendors, contractors and fellow employees.
- Assist Facility Manager in recruiting facilities service staff and evaluate the work quality of his staff and other subordinated.
- Oversee renovations project to ensure the facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Retail/Property /Hospitality Industry.
- Language Proficiency: Bahasa Malaysia, English. Able to speak in Mandarin will be added advantage.
- Good Leadership and Management skills.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
