The Special Officer - Financial & Property Management is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial and property-related activities of the organization. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, property acquisition, maintenance, and ensuring the efficient use of the organization's resources. The Special Officer works closely with senior management to align financial and property management strategies with the overall goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Financial Management**:

- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure sound financial management and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory filings.
- **Property Management**:

- Oversee the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of properties.
- Develop and implement property management strategies to optimize the use and value of the organization's real estate assets.
- Ensure properties are maintained in good condition and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers, contractors, and tenants.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and assess financial and property-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
- **Strategic Planning**:

- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the organization's financial and property management goals.
- Provide financial and property-related insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop long-term financial and property management plans to support the organization's growth and sustainability.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead and manage the financial and property management teams.
- Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CPM) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and property management roles.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of property management practices, real estate market trends, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and property management systems.

Skills and Competencies:

- **Property Management**: Knowledge of property acquisition, leasing, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Work Environment:

- This position typically involves working in an office setting with frequent interactions with various departments, service providers, and external stakeholders.
- Occasional travel may be required for property inspections, meetings, and negotiations.

Pay: RM1,594.18 - RM3,916.40 per month
