**Machinist**

**Purpose**:
Applies basic skills and appropriate machining practice in turning, milling, tooling process as specified by work orders, blue prints, process sheet and verbal instructions. Machine parts consistently meeting or exceeding production, safety and quality target for assignment.

**Job description**:

- Review procedures, work orders. Blueprints, process sheet, DBI’s (Data Base Information) and receives verbal work instructions to plan the job layout with as few set ups as possible. Review CNC programs, if necessary, identifies possible errors. Perform minor programming or program editing at machine tools if needed. Calculate cutting speed parameter and select proper depth of cuts for machining.
- Independently select the correct machine and tooling to perform the job. Gathers require tooling and fixture or place order if necessary. Perform majority of machining operation to complete the job. Consistently meets or exceed manufacturing, safety and quality target.
- Uses measuring devices to check all part dimension and perform NDE testing and evaluate all level 1 on finish parts. Actively participate and sustain high level of 5S. Assist leaders in training newly hired junior machinists.
- Ensure that every work activity carry out comply towards company HSES rules which as below or whichever higher and prevail,

- The governmental HSES rules.
- Other requirement which prescript according to project / client/ contractor onsite/ external requirement that in service of the tenure the project.

**Location**: Nusajaya, Malaysia

**You are meant for this job if**:

- Must have SPM or SPVM certificate in metal machining.
- Six years mechanical experience with at least four years related experience and /or in house experience.
- Must demonstrate ability to interpret complicated drawings with multiple view and machining surfaces.
- Must be able to operate and run all CNC Mill or Lathe machine with minimum supervision.
- Must understand and practice geometrical tolerance (GD&T). Must be able to read, write and comprehend simple written and verbal English.
- Must be able to set up and run using all ITS tooling, right angle head and ejector drill with no supervision. Must have passed all classroom and hands on training.
