Manages the guest experience by ensuring the following is provided: - Thoughtful and attentive service with relaxed efficiency - Complete responsiveness to the desires of our guests - The quality of hospitality is optimized - Supervises day to day operations of the Reservation department. - Works closely with the Sales department regarding Prepaid Card, group bookings, VIP bookings, establishing new corporate accounts and ensures cut off dates are adhered to. - Prepares and monitors associates rosters - Maintains and/or develops applicable procedures in the Reservations department - Ensures efficient methods and liaison between shift and department sections to carry out work procedures - Monitors room inventory control overbooking situation. - Updates associates on room rate changes and all Sales & Marketing programmes - Updates associates on rules and policies governing special promotions - Ensures room rates are updated in Hotel Operations System - Tracking of no-shows and cancellations and improvises procedures to rectify such situations - Up selling of rooms to maximize revenue and yield - Periodically checks on associates work, their attendance and grooming - Maintain close business relations with travel agencies, corporate representatives and government bodies - Ensures all correspondences are replied within 24 hours - Produces periodical rooms forecast and statistical reports in collaboration with Sales & Marketing. - Keeps the management updated on rooms inventory - Ensures that associates promote the hotel facilities and services - Monitor the standard Greeting by the associates at all times. - Performs other duties as deemed necessary by Superior - Responsible for recording Company/Travel Agent Rates both in system and correspondence file - Observes and ensures that proper telephone manners are maintained at all times - Follows up tentative bookings and update reservation status - Review room blocking for Long Stay and special group request. - Review arrival report daily. - Responsible for preparation of occupancy forecast. - Implement of BWR member to achieve monthly target
