POSITION PURPOSE

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1. UTILITIES - To operate, service, troubleshoot and maintenance of all utilities system within the premises,
but not limited to electrical power (HV/LV/DB), standby generator, water, air-conditioning system,
exhaust and ventilation system, fire-fighting system, and sewerage treatment plant
2. FACILITIES - To monitor and upkeep building facilities such as main gate, fencing, toilet, doors, windows,
roof, wall, ceilings, partitions, floor, tiles, road, parking, office furniture, power socket outlets, lightings,
etc.
3. HOUSEKEEPING - To monitor and supervise the cleaning contractors performing their task internally and
external building, drainage, landscaping and rubbish/sanitary disposal, pest control & fogging
4. WASTE HANDLING - To monitor, record, storage, disposal and supervise the activity related to general
waste, recycling waste and scheduled waste
5. LEGAL COMPLIANCES - Assist department head inn ensuring the factory operations is always meets the
legal requirement such as DOSH, DOE, ST, BOMBA, SPAN and MPKu. Ensure the related
equipment/machine being service and ready for periodic inspection.
6. EXTERNAL CONTRACTORS/VENDORS - Liaising with external contractors or vendors in terms of work
implementations which related to facilities department such as cleaning contractors, landscaping, waste
handling contractors, fire-fighting servicing contractors, electrical supervising engineers, STP servicing
contractors, laboratories personnel, other related facilities work contractor
7. SAFETY - To monitor, inspect, operate, test and record all safety equipment such as standby generator, sprinkler water pump, hose reel pump, hydrant, fire extinguisher, exit door/exit route, assembly point,
main gate, main fire alarm panel smoke detector, etc to be always ready during emergency. Assist
department head in risk prevention activities and handling emergency situation
8. ENERGY CONSUMPTION - To perform energy consumption monitoring, implement and promote energy
saving activities and prevent loss in utilities operation
9. Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

REQUIREMENT:
- 1. Diploma/certificate in engineering/building maintenance/electrical/mechanical or equivalent
2. Additional certificate in Safety & Health or Safety Coordinator (registered with DOSH) with minimum 1-2
years’ experience in safety is an added advantage
3. Excellent skills and understanding of utilities system and building’s facilities services and operations
4. Experience in fire-fighting system operations
5. Good operation, troubleshooting and maintenance skills in handling the utilities machines or equipment
6. Well exposure in single phase and three phase wiring, masonry, carpentry, plumbing works and airconditionings
7. Basic knowledge in aspect impact, HIRARC and legal requirements related to building maintenance
8. Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
9. Excellent in written, communication and interpersonal skills and presentation
10. Physically fit to lift, carry, push, pull heavy equipment, climb and work at height
11. Flexible, can work shift/late, able to always at standby mode
12. Dynamic, proactive and possess a leadership skill with ability to motivate others

**Salary**: RM1,800.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
