**Middleware Specialist / Administrator - Job Description**

**Role Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Installation & Configuration**:

- Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms (e.g., Weblogic, Oracle Middleware, Apache, Tomcat, MQ)
- **Monitoring & Performance**:

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Perform regular upgrades and patches to ensure optimal functionality
- Tune systems for performance and scalability
- **Security & Compliance**:

- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with IT policies
- Track and remediate vulnerabilities
- Maintain disaster recovery plans and perform regular backups
- **Collaboration & Support**:

- Work with cross-functional IT teams to support development, testing, and production environments
- Provide technical support and training to other staff
- Document middleware configurations and processes
- **Integration & Automation**:

- Develop and manage API integrations and queuing systems
- Drive automation through monitoring tools and scripting
- Support DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Experience with middleware technologies (e.g., IBM WebSphere, Oracle Fusion, Apache Kafka)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and SDLC
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python) and system monitoring tools

**Preferred Certifications**
- Oracle Middleware
- IBM WebSphere
- ITIL Foundation
- AWS or cloud platform certifications

Location: Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia

Yearly renewable contract

Budget: As per experience
