**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Patient Care Assistant/ Physio Aide will work under the direction and guidance of a therapist to support provision of Patient Care. You will be providing basic care under the direction of a professional therapist.

**Responsibilities**

1. Preparing a ready and safe patient care environment. These may include:

- Tidy and clean each treatment area when vacated after patient use.
- Prepare treatment areas for reception of new patients.
- Move or assist in moving equipment and furniture as necessary.
- Returning equipment to proper storage areas.
- Attending to the hygiene and maintenance of equipment such as electrotherapy units, exercise equipment, patient beds and chairs etc.
- Report broken or unsafe items that need repair or replacement.
- Attend to spillages as quickly as possible to prevent accidents.

2. Patient care. Responsibilities include:

- The implementation of treatment interventions as directed by the therapist.
- Prepare the patient and environment for treatment.
- Supervise therapeutic activities as directed by the therapist.
- Assist with patient mobility.
- Escort/transport patients within the hospital when necessary.
- Remain with patients who require supervision.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Able to interact with patients, employees and third parties.
- Able to communicate in Basic English.
- Honest and pleasant personality.
- Able to work in a team.
- Able to lift reasonably heavy items/equipment
- Able to work on weekends as well as public holidays when scheduled
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Able to work independently, resourceful, and results-oriented
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
