Manual Milling Machinist

Job scope
- The Manual Milling Machine Operator is responsible for operating conventional milling machines to perform machining tasks according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- This role requires precision, attention to detail, and strong hands-on skills to produce or modify metal parts for manufacturing or repair purposes.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual milling machines to perform various machining operations (e.g., facing, slotting, drilling).
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts for accuracy and conformance using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Modify or finish parts as needed based on supervisor or engineering feedback.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of machining tasks.

Job requirement
- Proven experience as a Manual Milling Machine Operator or similar manual machining role.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings.
- Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Good understanding of machining principles and cutting tool selection.
- Basic knowledge of material properties (steel, aluminum, brass, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and quality.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Minimum secondary school education(no SPM is acceptable); technical/vocational certification in machining is an advantage.
