Business & Corporate Banking (Growth Sectors) - Real Estate Specialist) **If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us...** **Responsibilities**: - To be responsible for developing and overseeing growth of the Loan Portfolio for CRE within Business Corporate Banking (BCB); - To provide expertise specific to CRE related opportunities which include guiding Business Centres (BCs) and Relationship Managers (RMs) in their analysis, preparation of the credit papers and to review as well as recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks (if any) or identify opportunities (where it exists). This includes formulating recommendations and requirements for customer action while capturing the actionable item as an opportunity for the CRE. - Able to comprehend and articulate complex real estate concepts ensuring a sound understanding of client's financing needs for more effective and tailored solutions; - To provide reviews and support to RMs in their preparation and analysis of cash flows and repayment risks by identifying the project risks and characteristics unique to the industry; - To assist RMs in structuring the facilities including amount and security arrangement for the proposed facilities; - To support BCs and RMs in their meetings with customers/potential leads and in field visits to ascertain project feasibility/readiness and subsequently perform site visits to the project site / attending site meetings to observe the project progress and ensure that it is within the stipulated period for successful delivery and completion; - To preserve the asset quality of the Bank at all times; - To conduct consultation with customers and other relevant stakeholders in accordance with relevant policies, framework and guidelines established within the CRE risk appetite framework of the bank; - Implement sustainable and environmentally responsible practices in the CRE strategy that aligns with the Bank's values. To establish good working contact with other related departments within the Bank on collaborative efforts within BCB for example with BCB ESG & Sustainability team; - To provide training / guidance to the BCs and ensure staff from respective departments are adequately trained in CRE and have basic knowledge on aspects such as industrial parks/lots, industrial warehousing facilities, "smart" warehouses, commercial centres etc **Requirements**: - Malaysia Citizen - Bachelor's degree in banking/finance/accounting or any related degree; - 5 years and above work experience in Real Estate industry; - Experience in commercial real estate analysis, financing, or a related role; - Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting corporate real estate transactions.
