Position Title **Project Director**

Location **Nilai/ Penang - Shah Alam (HQ)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage Project Department and Contract team from pre-tender stage to post construction stage.
- Constant involvement in inception, feasibility, project information, tender action and post contract activity.
- Involve in tender evaluation and tender interview.
- Supervise a team of project staff in project department and contract department on project matters.
- Preparation of estimation and feasibility study.
- Selection of tendering procurement, tender evaluation and award of contract.
- Post-contract administration which include: Attending management meeting, client/ consultant site meeting, Cost comparison exercise, Variation order claim, Site inspection when necessary, Check on interim payment recommended by contractors and final account statement.
- Ensure work at site progressing smoothly and construct delivered by contractors in accordance to drawings and are complied with specifications and standard specified.
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants, authority, project and office to achieve departmental goals.
- Reporting to Management regarding site works and quality issues.
- Assist MD in land issues especially on illegal occupies.
- Liaison with authority particularly on building, structural and infrastructures. The related processes including seeking for approval, testing and commissioning and ensure site safety and site environment suitable for work.
- To obtain certificate of fitness for infrastructures and handed it over to relevant authorities.
- Attending to building, structural and infrastructures’ joint inspection with authority, consultants and contractors.
- To ensure the developing and maintaining of the lists of Approved Suppliers &
Sub-contractors.
- To evaluate the bid price and quality on workmanship among the potential contractors.
- To formalize recommendations of award for the superior’s approval.
- To check and verify the LOA to the approved contractors.
- To assess and evaluates interim progress payment to Subcontractors.
- To undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by the Managing Director &
Directors.
- To ensure Environmental, Safety & Health is properly implemented for the division.
**Authority**
- To verify the petty cash claim for Site.
- To recommend for variation order works.
- To approve the Purchase Order
- To approve the acceptance of site work at Site.
- To recommend for contractors’ works progress claims and other miscellaneous claims.
**Experience Needed**
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Construction and Civil Engineering or Higher Qualification.
- Must be a CIDB green card holder.
- Minimum 15 years experience in Project Construction, in similar position or related working experience.
- Self-motivated, reliable, minimum supervision, good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of the site safety plan and the safety activities operation flow.
- Proficiency in English & Malay and Computer literate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month

- Penang Hill: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
