**Job Summary**:
The Catering Assistant supports the daily operations of catering services by assisting with event setup, customer service, clearing and packing after events, managing catering equipment, and maintaining inventory. This role also provides cashiering support when required and performs other general tasks as assigned. The Catering Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth event execution and delivering excellent customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1.Event Setup and Execution**:

- Assist in setting up buffet lines, tables, equipment, and decorations according to event requirements.
- Ensure all catering items are properly arranged and ready before the event begins.
- Assist with serving food and beverages when necessary.

**2.Customer Service**:

- Greet and assist customers courteously during events.
- Respond promptly to client needs or concerns on-site and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout the event.

**3.Post-Event Clearing and Packing**:

- Clear tables, pack equipment, and clean up event space after functions.
- Ensure all items are accounted for and returned to the store in proper condition.
- Assist with transporting catering items back to the central kitchen or storage.

**4.Equipment and Inventory Management**:

- Keep track of catering tools and equipment before and after events.
- Report any damages, missing items, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory checks and ensure proper storage and cleanliness.

**5.Cashiering Support**:

- Support cashiering duties during events or functions as needed.
- Handle cash or electronic payments following SOPs.
- Provide accurate billing and receipts to customers.

**6.Ad-hoc and General Duties**:

- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Catering Supervisor or Management.
- Support other team members or units when needed.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards at all times.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Minimum SPM / high school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in hospitality, food service, or related fields are an added advantage.

**Experience**:

- At least 1-2 years of experience in catering, F&B service, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
- Experience in event setup, equipment handling, or cashiering is a plus.

**Skills**:

- Basic verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Able to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move catering equipment.
- Basic computer literacy or experience with POS systems (preferred but not required).
- Good time management and punctuality.

**Personal Attributes**:

- Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused attitude.
- Able to work well in a team and under mínimal supervision.
- Responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours as required.
- Positive mindset with the ability to adapt to different work situations.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, except public holidays
- May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on event schedules.
- Office environment and event sites within the building

**Working Day and Hours**:

- Monday to Friday
- Off on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays
- 45 hours per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
