Quantity Surveyor

**Purpose**:
Manage the costing on a project. Ensure project to be complete within its project budget. Serve as a Technygroup Holdings’ of Companies representative on any project cost related issues. Enhance the project real cost estimation process, project budgeting development process, procurement, compliances of applicable engineering codes, compliances of QA/QC policies and compliances of project requirement and specifications.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Keeping the project execution on budget and within the specifications
- Develop costing for assigned tender with resourceful idea or proposal
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and material take off
- Liaise with supplier/vendor/contractors with acknowledgement of direct superior
- Liaise with purchaser for procurement process including RFQ or engineering proposal
- Liaise with purchaser for new source of supplier/ vendors to achieve cost savings purpose
- Liaise with designer, consultant, client, supplier, vendor and contractor for project specifications
- Communicate with client/owner/end user effectively with proper understanding by interpret their needs and requirement
- Track changes of the design of the construction works and monitor the project budget projection respectively
- Attend and participate any site meeting daily/weekly/monthly with client/owner/end user related to commercial issue
- Plan, coordinate and compile engineering design work with designer/consultant/ CAD drafter
- Liaise with CAD drafter for engineering drawing preparation
- Liaise with construction team to prepare Method of Statement
- Prepare RFI and submittal submission to the respective parties and ensure the approval on time
- Monitor and forecast the price/cost of the different materials needed for the project
- Measure and value the work done on site
- Manage and prepare COP (Claim of Progress) for subcontractors/ vendors/ suppliers
- Attend site visits, assessment and projections for future work
- Propose value engineering / alternative cost-effective solutions for project execution or tender purpose
- Liaise with company’s Finance and customers’ Finance to follow up claim status between Technysolutions and customers

**Education / Work Requirements**:

- Male/Female.
- Bachelor's Degree in any engineering field, quantity survey of study or related discipline.
- Familiar background in Civil Structural Architect or Mechanical & Electrical **(Priority)**:

- Must possess a valid driver's license, Own transport
- Willing to travel for site visits and outstation assignments
- Intermediate level of AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office skills

Location : Office (Rimbayu - Telok Panglima Garang) / Project Site

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,200.00 per month
