Entomology Lab Technician

Maintain the cleanliness of insect cages, tanks, and equipment to ensure they are readily available for routine use.
- Organize and manage the laboratory equipment to facilitate easy retrieval and access for daily tasks.
- Prepare and replenish insect feed and rearing media for various insect colonies (e.g., mosquitoes, cockroaches, house flies) following specified ratios.
- Assist with additional routine tasks as requested by the supervisor, such as cleaning test chambers and equipment after efficacy tests.

- A degree in biology, entomology, zoology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of laboratory practices, including handling and maintaining lab equipment, insect rearing, and familiarity with safety procedures.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred, especially with insect handling and care.
- Ability to follow precise protocols and maintain accurate records.
- Strong ability to manage and organize equipment, supplies, and tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform tasks such as cleaning cages, preparing insect feed, and handling insects for extended periods.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other lab staff and supervisors.
- Willingness to assist with various tasks as needed, including cleaning, maintaining the lab environment, and supporting research projects.
- Ability to handle routine tasks while managing multiple priorities.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
