**ROLES DESCRIPTION**:
The Manager or Assistant Manager, Sales & Business Development supports all activities of the Commercial unit in the Far East Asia Region and reports directly to the Director, Sales & Business Development. He/she support the Director in managing every facet of the commercial strategies and activities in relation to sales & pricing, marketing and communication, business development, key accounts management, target setting and evaluation, budgets and P&Ls.
He/she will also collaborate with other business units (Training Centers and Support Services) to ensure optimum customer service experience.
He/she must have an excellent business acumen and equipped with skills in business development, customer relationship management, key account management, communication skills, and have a hands-on approach in supporting the business from a commercial perspective.
**REQUIREMENTS / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**
**Academic Qualification & Certification**:
- Possess at least a Degree or master’s in business administration / Management or any field, preferably specializing in Marketing, Business Development or equivalent.
**Professional Work Experience**:
- At least 10 years of working experience in Oil & Gas Company with an in-depth background in all aspects of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
- Exposed and well aware of safety related training such as Sea Survival, BOSIET, Emergency Response, Skills Training, Underwater Emergency Training, Lifeboat related training and others.
- Min 3 years proven track record in a Sales/Business Development managerial role, particularly developing and leading a team efficiently and effectively within the safety critical industries.
**Leadership Skills**:
- Excellent leadership skills, portraying an ability to influence a cross-functional team and business leaders as well as stakeholders in a unified direction and with a common vision
**Communication/Influencing/Persuasive Skills**:
- Must also have good communication skills both in written and verbal form. Able to influence and persuade others effectively.
- He/she will also need good writing skills in drafting reports, proposals, and recommendations for senior leadership.
**Computer & Technology Skills**:
- Proficient in Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint..
**Other Skills**:
- Effective planning, organizing, time management in handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines. Result-oriented, detail-oriented, proactive, analytical/critical and strategic thinker, high integrity, highly collaborative skills, ability to learn and adapt quickly, good problem solving skills, ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.
