**Position Overview**

The Executive, Quality (Halal cum QA) will be responsible to ensure compliance with halal standards, manage certification processes, conduct audits, monitor product quality, implement quality control procedures, handle complaints and collaborate on process improvements.

Gourmessa Sdn Bhd, known for premium no mechanically deboned meat under the GOURMESSA brand, was acquired by PrimaBaguz Group in 2023. This strengthens PrimaBaguz’s halal retail portfolio, expanding its Southeast Asian market reach following its 2020 acquisition by global meat company Johnsonville.

**Responsibilities**
- Support and implement sustainable practices within food safety operations and quality systems.
- Coordinate with government agencies to obtain and maintain certifications such as Halal, HACCP, MeSTI, and other relevant standards.
- Establish and update process flows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and documentation to ensure compliance with food safety, Halal, and quality standards.
- Organize and perform audits on suppliers and third-party manufacturers to assess compliance with company standards.
- Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to food safety management systems.
- Coordinate and manage audits from customers (2nd party) and certification bodies (3rd party).
- Maintain accurate records and reports on product and service quality levels for traceability and analysis.
- Work closely with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve food safety or quality issues efficiently.
- Cross-check production areas before operations begin, ensuring cleaning and hygiene standards are met.
- Oversee lab schedules, equipment maintenance, testing methods, and liaise with external labs for calibration and testing services.

**Requirements/ Experiences**
- Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalents.

**Knowledge And Skills**
- Knowledge in Food Safety and Quality Audit.
- Computer Application -MS Office and SAP System.
- Good communications skill.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skill with ability to identify and solve the problem.
