Salt is partnering with one of Asia’s leading cross-border money and prepaid credit transaction hub to hire an awesome Database Administrator to join their Infrastructure team in Kuala Lumpur.

In this role, you will be working closely with the Head of Infrastructure and the Senior DBA to drive the whole process of Database design and implementation.

Your new role will focus on:

- Database design and implementation
- Data migration from existing database to new database and verify the migrated data
- Data patching to ensure data integrity of the migrated data
- Establishing and maintaining sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Implementing and maintaining database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
- Performing database tuning and performance monitoring
- Designing and preparing for Disaster Recovery Plan and perform test on recovery plan from time to time.
- Designing and maintaining backup and data archiving plan for all databases of the company.
- Installation and setting up new databases and database server.
- Creating SQL or ETL scripts or using SQL tools to help ease production operations and any data migrations
- Appropriately balancing design principles and technology standards with product timelines and customer specific requirements
- Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports
Skills Required for this role:

- Performance Tuning on T-SQL, Managing SQL Server (MS-SQL)
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, Platforms, Servers, and Databases
- Strong working experience on database administration (MS-SQL and NoSQL) with an understanding of programming language (.NET C#/C) and SOA based technologies (WCF).
- 2-year experience in Windows Operating Systems and SQL Server 2012 / 2014/ 2016
- 2-year experience in Technical Documentation - Creation / Maintenance (Design Specifications, Operations Manuals, Support Documents, Release Notes)
- Results oriented, excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Relevant working experience in telecom operators, banking or financial industry is preferred
- Willing to work with mínimal supervision

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
